THE ETHNIC STRUCTURE OF SERBIAAccording to the 2002 Census, the national minorities occupy 13,47% of the population living in Serbia without Kosovo, thus lining Serbia up to the countries with a strongly homogenous population structure. In addition to the 82,86% of the persons who declared themselves as Serbians, and 2,03% of those who did not determ or declare their nationality or religious identity, there live many national minorities in Serbia. The most numerous are the Hungarians with 293.299 citizens (3,92%), the Bosnians with 136.087 (1,81%) and the Roma with 108.193 citizens (1,44%).
